Trauma is not a death sentence

After working together for just a few short months a client reported back to me that "trauma is not a death sentence". Amen!

Yet the gripping of unresolved trauma often has us feeling like there's no way out. Life narrows as the fear and anxiety take over. But it doesn't have to be this way ...

Anxiety is the number one mental health diagnosis in the United States affecting 40 million adults. This is nearly 20% of the population! What's going on here? The problem is that most people are only offered treatments that mask symptoms instead of healing trauma - one of the primary etiologies of anxiety.

Based on a US study by the CDC / Kaiser, the more unresolved trauma we have, the greater the risk for heart disease, cancer and mental illness. So why isn't your healthcare provider addressing a primary factor in the picture of your health?

Do you have more questions than answers when it comes to your anxiety and other unresolved health issues? Have you been dismissed by healthcare professionals telling you there's nothing's wrong? Shamed even? Being told that it's all in your head? Sadly you're not alone!

You know your own body and you know something's off when you can't shake anxiety, depression, chronic pain and fatigue. But what are you to do when all of the tests and diagnostics have come back clear and/or the medications you've been prescribed don't seem to be doing the trick?

This is when many of my client's find me ... they've tried every approach to treatment available - both western/medical and alternative/holistic and have yet to get down to the bottom of what ails them. If this is you it's likely unresolved trauma is what's getting in the way of you and your best health. And even the top medical and holistic healthcare professionals might not have the right tools to help you heal once and for all.

When you've wasted so much time, energy and money chasing symptoms it can most certainly can feel like trauma is a death sentence, and that you'll never dig yourself out of the hole of mounting symptoms. But there's hope!

Working with trauma-informed care over the last 15 years I've helped thousands of clients heal trauma and finally address the laundry list of unresolved health issues symptomatic of trauma. The thing is trauma doesn't heal in sterile environments nor does it go away by popping pills. Instead of managing pain and symptoms healing trauma occurs by creating a climate of safety through nurturing relationship so the resilience of the human spirit can rebound. This way the body, mind and spirit can heal in seemingly miraculous ways.

Trauma is not a death sentence and with the right support you can heal. Are you ready? I'm here to help. Schedule a complimentary health strategy session and let's discuss your total health potential.
